Wairarapa Greyhound Racing Club
Wairarapa Greyhound Racing Club's track is located in the historic Solway Showgrounds.
Solway Showgrounds was established in the late 1800s. It was occupied by the US Military during World War 2. Solway Showground has become a permanent racing fixture in the greyhound dog trials and televised racing. The races are managed by the Wairarapa Greyhound Racing Club, which was established in 1972 and conducts races five times a year.
Kennels are generally open for kennelling 2 hours prior to the 1st race for one hour , but check with Club as split kennelling may apply, especially at dual code meetings. Racing is conducted for all grades over 297m, 505m and 715m.
