Wanganui Greyhound Racing Club is located within Hatrick Raceway which is bounded by Hatrick Street, Guyton Street, and Sarjeant Street. The greyhound track is situated around the rugby field. The clubrooms and office are accessed from Sarjeant Street entrance at the southern end of the grounds. To reach the kennel house just continue along the back of the grandstand and it can be found towards the left between the TCOB rugby rooms and the Wanganui Racecourse complex.

Racing is conducted for all grades over 305m, 520m, 645m and 755m.

The greyhound track is well banked, and is one of just five sand / loam surfaces in New Zealand. It provides for safe and exciting races throughout the year.

Catering and refreshments are available for all race meetings, along with full Trackside TV coverage and TAB betting facilities.

The Wanganui Greyhound Racing Club races on 40 occasions per season.
